The Sensory Foundation training introduces the basics of sensory evaluation. We will explore the wide range of aromas and flavor notes found in coffee using practical and interactive methods.
Topics:
- Importance of sensory evaluation and the guided coffee tasting (cupping) process
- Sensory characteristics, smell, and taste
- Identifying different flavor notes and aromas
- Understanding the guided coffee tasting (cupping) protocol
The course concludes with a short practical and written exam, testing the knowledge gained during the day. Successful completion of this module can award 5 points in the SCA Coffee Diploma System program.

SCA courses - What is SCA?
The SCA CDS (Coffee Diploma System) is an internationally recognized educational system that offers numerous training programs and assists coffee enthusiasts, from beginners to professional baristas, at various levels and topics.
The courses conclude with an exam to test the acquired knowledge, and participants are awarded points corresponding to the course level in the SCA Coffee Diploma System program.
Participation fees include snacks, coffee, and a great atmosphere. 😊
